Regular US market hours cover 32.5 hours a week

Regular trading on NYSE and Nasdaq runs from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET, Monday to Friday, or 19% of the 168 hours in a week. Company earnings and economic data are often released outside those hours. The Near Stocks order book will be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

    Onboarding will include eligibility checks, identity verification and jurisdiction controls.

Near Stocks is a trading venue for tokenized US stocks and ETFs, designed to operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is in development and not yet available.

Tokenized stocks are digital tokens that track the price of a specific US stock or ETF. The tokens on Near Stocks are issued by Ondo Global Markets and, according to Ondo Global Markets, backed by the underlying securities. Holding a token is not the same as holding the share directly, and rights such as voting may differ.

US regular trading hours cover 32.5 of the 168 hours in a week. Near Stocks will let eligible users trade tokenized stocks and ETFs and manage positions at any time, including when US exchanges are closed.

Prices on Near Stocks will be set by orders on its own order book. Outside US market hours they may differ from the last traded price of the underlying security.

NEAR is a proof-of-stake blockchain with a public ledger. Settling on NEAR means each trade on Near Stocks will have a public on-chain record.

Near Stocks will be available to eligible users outside the United States, subject to identity verification and local regulation. It will not be available to US persons or to anyone resident or located in a sanctioned or restricted jurisdiction.
